Accomodation at University of Economics and Business Prague (VŠE v Praze) dormitory (Thalerova dormitory) is available only to students of year-long and semestral and also summer courses. Proof of accommodation, together with the study confirmation, is a basic document needed for issuance of a student visa.
The campus is located in the centre of Prague, in the Prague 3 – Jarov district, and is conveniently accessible by tram.
Accommodation is provided in comfortable twin bed room with wc, bathroom, kitchenette аnd balcony for 2 rooms (colour and specific furnishings may vary from room to room). The canteen, study rooms, gym, bike storage etc. are also available to students.
The accomodation confirmation letter for the whole course period is issued in the case the student pays a three-month fee for the dormitory and non-refundable registration fee for accomodation – 150 euros. The one month fee is 320 euros. The total amount for the accomodation confirmation is 320 x 3 + 150 = 1110 euros. After arriving in Prague, the student has paid for accommodation for three months. Thereafter, accommodation is paid either monthly (always one month in advance) or in one lump sum until the end of the semester.
After arriving in Prague the student also pays a refundable deposit of 8000 CZK, when staying at the dormitory. Penalties will be deducted from the deposit in the event of a breach of the dormitory rules or damage to the equipment of the dormitories and rooms. The deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the accommodation period if the student adheres to the rules and does not cause any damage.
In case of cancellation of the booked dormitory housing no later than 10 days before the start of the course, the student will be refunded the full amount for accommodation without the registration fee. Payment for three months of the dormitory housing is calculated from the moment of moving in. However, if the moving-in date is later than the tenth day from the start of the respective course, accommodation is calculated from the tenth day.
Accomodation cost for summer course is 350 euros.
